With the discontinuation of the Exige model in 2021 Lotus have brought out the very rare and special Final Edition as a final send off to the model. With very limited 420 Sport build slots the Lotus factory have now entirely sold out. This is one of the final cars available.
The 420 Sport is the latest model in the S3 Exige range. The 3.5 litre supercharged V6 engine is now tuned to a staggering 420HP at 7000RPM. The 420 is a seriously capable machine getting from 0-60 in a mere 3.3 seconds with a power to weight ratio of 378HP per ton! The Exige 420 is fitted with a water to air charge cooler helping keep the intake temperatures down. This means the 420 is just at home on the track as it is on the open road! AP racing brakes with the all now J hook discs ensure the 420 Sport stops just as well as it goes. Switchable driving modes drive, sport and race allow the driver to use the car with varying levels of traction (electronic stability programme ESP). The V6 engine is paired to a manual 6 speed gearbox with the beautiful Lotus open gaitor. A brand new smaller (240mm) clutch has been fitted along with the CUP 430’s lighter single mass flywheel.
The 420 Sports comes with a huge number of very desirable extras as standard. Ultra l;lightweight forged alloy wheels help keep the corner weight down. Carbon fibre front and rear access panels are a standard feature along with a carbon fibre front splitter and rear spoiler.
