vehicle description:

Reliant SCIMITAR SE5, GTE.  Registered October 1976. Fitted with manual gearbox and overdrive. This is a good running project.  Present mileage shown as 3248.
This car has been in the family since November 1980.  I have owned the vehicle since 2001, since then it has been garaged and has been on S.O.R.N. since 2002.
From owning the vehicle I have spent over £1,500 on it (many receipts available).
The vehicle had an overdrive and reconditioned rear axle fitted at mileage 66292, a reconditioned engine and new Weber carburettor fitted at mileage 79926.  A new clutch and gearbox rebuild at mileage 01074.  the replacement parts fitted since I have owned the vehicle include:- all round GAZ adjustable suspension and bushes, reconditioned steering rack (which has recently developed a leak on the offside, under load), reconditioned brake servo, new water pump, a full carpet set, new front flexible brake pipes and new Wolfrace alloy wheels, plus many other parts too many to list!  The vehicle is fitted with stainless steel exhausts.  The chassis looks OK and was waxoyled every year whilst it was on the road.
The vehicle was  last MOT"d in October 2006 when it passed first time.  It has not been on road since.  the vehicle has been kept running and moved, it needs 2 inner dipped beam sealed units.  The bodywork is poor and needs a re-spray (it looks better in the photographs than it is!  Photos taken 21/10/15)  It is generally in quite reasonable condition for its age and is a good runner.
