vehicle description:

This car was brought by my lovely wife, as a project to keep me out of trouble !! I already have too many projects and will never have the time for it. I also need the space.
About the car :-
I have given it a look over and have found the following :-
The car drives and stops well, although the clutch does bit a little high. Its cable operated so very easy to set. The engine misses a bit when flat out. May just need a good run to clear out the cobwebs, as it did get better on the short run I gave it.
The gears all select well even reverse has not been locked out that seams to be a common mod on these cars, I believe due to law that was repealed in the early 60s.
The chassis all looks good, with no obvious signs of previous repairs.
The previous owner was doing the car up for his son who with a couple of mate decided it would be fun to have a bunch or 3 wheelers. His mates did not tack up the challenge and he lost interests just as the car was nearing completion. He has fitted the following new parts to the car :-
New Distributor with Accuspark electronic ignition.
New Accuspark HT leads
New Alternator
New tyres all round (nice alloys on the rear)
New battery
The car has a new looking Pioneer CD player fitted. This is not wired in so is untested.
There is no air filter fitted to the carb. These are very easy to obtain through the Reliant owners club and forums. I may even have one kicking around that will go with the car if I find it in time.
All the lights work exept for one front indicator and the hi lo beams on both head lamps. Probably very easy fixes but I just don"t have the time.
The interior needs attention as you can see from the photos.
The car is showing 22181 miles on the clock. I can not guaranty if this is correct.
