Welcome to the listing for my 1981 Lancia Beta.
According to How Many Left, there is just ONE HPE 1600 on the road in the UK, with 8 SORN. This is one of the SORN.
A brief history....I bought this car in April 2010 as I was taking part in Staples2Naples 2010 charity banger rally. Soon after returning I realised that instead of scrapping it (the customary thing to do), I wanted to hang onto it. The following year we took part in Czech Wrecks 2011, this time with the car in a mock Martini colour. Sadly on the way back from this trip, some French recovery men decided to tow the car whilst in gear, which broke the gearbox. Have a quick look on youtube and search for maccoll staples2naples or maccoll czech wrecks and you can see LEG in action.
Since then she"s been off the road, looking sad, albeit in a dry barn - awaiting an engine transplant. Alas, circumstances have changed, and I no longer have the storage facility.
With the car (which is currently sans engine) comes two or three spare starter motors, two 2000cc engines (1.6 has been scrapped), a brand new radiator I had recored and fixed up using a genuine part at a cost of £150.00 a couple of years ago, along with loads of other bits and bobs, wing mirrors etc in the car.
She is by no means concourse - a fair bit of rust here and there, but the chassis is solid, the wheels and tyres are good, and she is a good restoration project. Also included is a matching set of alloys with good Pirelli P3000 tyres.

IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING THAT THIS CAR WILL NEED TO BE TRAILERED AWAY! IT DOES NOT HAVE TAX, MOT OR A FITTED ENGINE!
