 Hi and welcome to my auction for this outstanding Jaguar Sovereign. Presented in gleaming Steel Metallic with virtually unmarked Saville Grey leather it is a beautiful combination.
The car has just undergone a full and comprehensive programme of refurbishment after spending 8 years in dry storage in a museum.
It has had new front calipers and one rear, pads all round, 1 new rear shock absorber, new suspension mount and track rod end bushes, four brand new tyres, oil and filter service, and the paintwork is in the process of being professionally cosmetically repaired this week. All bills are available to view for this work.
There is a slight blow from the exhaust manifold which will also be professionally repaired this week before the auction ends.
There is no saggy headlining issues and the interior is absolutely pristine for a car of this age. There is no sign of laquer lift or cracks in the veneer anywhere on the woodwork and needless to say absolutely everything works including the tank crossover switch.
The car states on the v5 that it has had 3 previous owners, but in reality it has really only ever had 1 as the second was a motor museum where it was never used, and the third was the dealer from whom I bought it, and me. Since I have had it it has covered less than 20 miles.
I bought this car with the full intention of keeping it to add to my collection, but lack of space and another ongoing project which I will be keeping mean that I am now reluctantly offering this for sale.
