THE CAR:
Supplied with the car is the original tool kit, leather handbook, two sets of keys, a red car cover, and the original full size spare wheel (never supplied new with the car from factory).
Our gorgeous Mondial we have to offer retains it"s beautiful high gloss paintwork and pops wonderfully under both our detailing and natural light with very few marks to mention, if any at all. The front grille, trim and rubbers show soft and supple and retain excellent original colour and integrity – all the signs of a well pampered life.
As for the interior, well this has to be a huge "hats off" to the previous owner(s). Immediately it"s apparent the Crema Hide has been significantly well maintained and it really is like stepping back into the Ferrari dealer in the early 90"s. The car has been garaged from new, which has luckily saved the leather from being dried out so it still feels soft and supple. The switch gear is fresh and almost unmarked and the same applies to the steering wheel. The leather dash is sharp and hasn"t suffered from any fading or cracks. The car holds it"s original over mats and they remain clean showing very little signs of wear.
Fantastic investment scope and drivability considering what sits closely around the Mondial T in terms of value for money. In our view a hugely understated car that out performs the likes of a 308/328/348 having been equipped with Power Steering, ABS, Switchable Suspension as standard.
Ferrari Mondial T HISTORY:
1 of just 51 UK Right Hand Drive examples, of which only 46 were made with Manual transmission as fitted to this car.
The Mondial T - "T" used to define the engine & transmission layout, characteristics of 1980"s Ferrari Formula One.
Introduced in 1989 the Ferrari Mondial T was a "spearhead for a new generation of V8 Ferraris" and was the Mondial"s last incarnation of the model offered. Now with it"s revised "T" set-up this would become the standard for all the future mid engined V8 sports cars beginning with the 348 and continuing the trend through to the 360.
The Mondial was Ferrari"s last production 2+2 mid-engined coupe and at the time represented major advances in performance and handling. This incorporated some firsts for Ferrari as they now came equipped with ABS and power steering.
The Mondial is considered one of Ferrari"s most reliable, and most inexpensive models to maintain. With the practicality of the car further enhanced by it"s 2+2 layout, it is for this reason that the Ferrari Mondial is a great entry car for those wishing to purchase a classic Ferrari to use and enjoy.
