1991 Porsche 944 S2   Very sad to be parting with my beloved 1991 944 S2. Originally an immaculate import from Japan in 2008 it has had only two owners in the UK and it has been in my passion since 2010. I just don’t have the time to enjoy or look after the vehicle anymore due to spending long periods of time out of the country; otherwise I would hang onto it!   I often do small maintenance job to the car myself, and a summary of recent notable service history is as follows:   2011 Full oils, lubricants and filters replacement. New DME relay.   2012 Front wing rebuild (more details below). 4x new tyres.   2013 Full oils, lubricants and filters replacement. New thermo fan switch. New battery. Replacement fuel sender. Replacement N/S Wishbone arm.   2014 Alloy wheels refurbished. New front brake pads.   Other minor jobs have been complete (detailed in vehicle paperwork). The vehicle has just flown through its MOT this week with the only advisories due to new brake pad faces not having smoothed off yet (the vehicle has not been driven since fitting new pads in May).   Negative points 1. Cat C damage in 2012 after a bump in the snow in Feb 2012. I purchased the vehicle back and had the wing rebuilt by Porsche specialists Project 9 Engineering in Kent (www.projectnineengineering.co.uk, 01892 730 967 – please contact, they will remember her!) at considerable expense. 2. One or two of the seams in the rear upholstery have started to part, but all other interiors are in good condition. 3. Odometer stopped ticking over soon after I purchased the car. Mileage is listed as an estimate based on a VERY generous overestimate of 3000miles/year (I have no commute, and as mentioned I am often out of the country when the car is either garaged or stored under an all-weather protector). 4. Air conditioning not currently working (may only require re-gassing, but I have never felt compelled to investigate it).   General Condition A very neat example of a great car; gear box still nice and tight, steading is true, no knocking or rattling, still a lot of tread on some hardly used tyres; a generally solid ride. Very sad to say goodbye to it, but as stated before I just don’t have the time it deserves anymore – will be happy to see it go to a good owner.   Viewing possible in East Midlands until Friday, and then Surrey until the end of the auction, just drop me a message.
