Ok, here goes another attempt.
The Story:
I am trying to raise money so little Buzzby (See Pics), can have a necessary operation. He was born with a few defects, one being that his knee joints keep moving, making him walk funny and be in constant discomfort. Instead of pleading for funds from people, I have decided to sell some things and use the money from that. So 100% of the sale of this car goes toward helping little Buzzby have the operation so he can walk properly again.
The Car:
1991 Proton "Saga" 1.3 Aeroback. This car was bought by the previous owner in 1991 when she traded in her Lada for an upgrade. It has done about 59,000 miles, and feels exactly that way. I have replaced one vacuum pipe and the air filter, but it has needed nothing else.
Yes - it has been modified. So sue me. :). These cars aren"t exactly desirable collectors" models.
The springs have been trimmed to lower the car and some Mitsubishi Carisma alloys have been added. I still have the original steel wheels and tyres too, and you could replace the springs, if that is an issue. It does ride extremely firm, so bear that in mind.
The only issue I have found is the brakes sound a bit "scrapey" , which could just be due to the lack of use, but I have bought replacement discs, pads and shoes to go on. These will be included in the sale.
I am hoping to raise around £500 from the sale of this car, but will be sensible and start bidding at £250.
PLEASE NOTE: If the winning bid is less than £350, I wil NOT include the alloy wheels, instead the car will be available on original steels with a choice of wheel trims (I"ve got loads in the shed!) The alloys all have decent tyres as do the steels.
