These cars are already fast becoming a classic and can only appreciate with time, therefore not only do you have the fun of owning and driving it but you earn money at the same time. The car has had only two previous owners from new, the third owner having owned it since 1998. The gleaming White bodywork is in exceptional condition, as is the chequered cloth interior. The Alloy wheels are like new and the tyres all round have loads of tread (see photo). The last owners son was a BMW mechanic and had serviced the car for his Father until he went to live in Thailand several years ago. We purchased the car, the battery was flat but with a power pack it started 1st time and was driven back to our garage. We put the car through an MOT test and it failed two faulty Track rod suspension arms, these where replaced and the car went through the Mot with no advisories whatsoever, whilst the car was with our mechanic it was serviced, and as such is ready to go. The general drive and gearbox are faultless, and for the smaller engine model the car still pulls exceptionally well indeed. The soft top is in good order, the roof was originally electric but the motor has stopped working so the hood is now operated manually, very quick and a lot less to go wrong, the only thing that is required is the key that locks it in place, although we have made some little clips that seem to do the job. The winning bidder will be expected to leave a deposit of £250 within 24 hours, the car will have to be paid for in cash on collection within 3 days from the end of the auction.
