CRX Del Sol SiR1.6 Convertible - 170bhp194,000km / 121,000milesMOT until April 2016
This is a Japanese import that was brought into the UK in 2003. I have had it for about 4 years. It"s a second car and I don"t use it enough to justify keeping it. 
She"s unmodified and all the original spec apart from a Powerflow exhaust (no cat as they are only compulsory from 94 onwards), alloy wheels, UK spec radio/CD/MP3 
There are 4 good tyres (Hankook) and the front two are nearly new.
It"s the second Del Sol that I"ve owned and both times I went for the Japanese Import SiR version. This is the most powerful and highest spec of all the Del Sol models.
This model includes Auto air con (needs regassing), front and rear electric windows, Transtop electric roof (all working but a bit noisy- probably needs servicing), electric rear boot, alloy wheels (very tatty), Limited slip differential (premium original upgrade), aftermarket CD/MP3 player, electric aerial, power steering. If you"re thinking of breaking it, it also has the rare original Honda MOMO steering wheel which goes for about £100 on ebay on it"s own. The interior seats are original and so they are a bit worn. The drivers side is worn through the material to the bolster.
Mechanically it"s in good working order. Everything operates as it should apart from the air con which either needs re-gassing or repairing. I"ve never bothered because it"s a convertible. There is a fluctuating idle when the engine is cold. I"ve been told it"s the IACV (Idle air control valve) and it needs cleaning but I"ve never got round to it. Apparently it"s a 30 minute job.
Gearbox is good and sharp, engine pulls well and the VTEC works as it should.
The bodywork is the let down on this car. It is old and the paint is faded and thin in places. The roof in particular has badly faded and is speckled as if the lacquer has worn away. I"ll be extra honest and tell you that it looks better in the photos than it really is!
Both rear arches have rust and the underbody also has corrosion. It"s not severe and passed the MOT but it was noted as an advisory. If you bought the car and planned to keep it then this would need treating.
I"ve been honest and listed all the bits I can think of. There might be more but I can"t think of anything serious. It is 23 years old so it is a bit worn but it"s a Honda and it"ll probably do another few 100 thousand if it goes to the right owner.
