vehicle description:

Mk3 VR6 GOLF in tornado red 194.1 BHP
Now selling my VR6 due to needing a diesel 5 door car for work and family. I have always maintained this GOLF regardless of cost, I"ve had it 4 years and it has been one of the best cars I"ve owned. I usually change the oil every 3000-5000 miles or every year (whichever came first) with mobil 1 fully synthetic oil. The car has an A4 folder stacked full of receipts from servicing to tyres to clips and consumables.
I am looking for a fair price when you compare to the spec, overall condition and in comparison to others that are available on the market at the moment. A decent Vr6 is between £1500 and £5000. Don"t get me wrong, you will find them for £800 but you will spend another £1000+ getting them welded and back to a respectable and reliable condition. A Vr6 of this mileage spec and condition is worth around the £2000-£2500 without having the front brakes, wheels and tyres that are worth £800-£1000 on their own second hand.
The car pulls well in every gear, Sounds phenomenal, drives beautifully and never misses a beat.
Anyone who knows what they are looking for with a MK3 knows how badly these can rust. I bought the car and first thing I had done (surprisingly lol) was to get the sills welded up as they were shot to pieces. the only rust on this car now is a small scab on the boot lid but I have a spare boot to go with the car that will need painting. Car spec and new parts are as follows:Really low mileage @ 110.200 miles on the clock (still driven from time to time so may increase slightly)
New 12months MOT.
Last serviced 107000 miles, Around September 2015
Full closure Cat 1 Clifford alarm system (with 2 keys and fobs)
OSF wheel bearing replaced 1500 miles ago.
Immaculate leather interior with heated front seats.
All brake pads less than 1000 Miles done since changing them.
Alternator removed and rebuilt with new bushes etc last year.
Also had new battery last year (turned out to be the alternator^^)
Electric windows/sunroof/mirrors.
4x Yoko Prada Spec 2 tyres around 600 miles.
Angel eye headlights.
De badged front Grille.
Vr6 front splitter (not in the pictures)
Private plate included in the sale B20ENH - BEN H cost me £400
Performance Modifications are as follows:
Brembo front brake calipers with recent new pads fitted.
Audi tt comp wheels ( paint flaking in places).
4x brand new yokohama prada spec 2 tyres about 600 miles old (£400)
Koni adjustable coilover suspension kit.
Chipped and tuned by AMD with print out to prove 194.1BHP
Full system stainless steel exhaust pipe including 6 branch manifold and Decat pipe.
Induction kit
Uprated 8mm HT Leads
Engine strut brace x 2 (upper and lower)
Strut brace underneath at the rear also.
Stereo upgrade:
Sony CD player with ipod connection.
Front speakers in the door cards.
upgraded JBL component speakers in the back behind the door cards (looks original).
hidden JBL 6X9 speakers in rear parcel shelf (looks original).
Vibe monoblock Amp, around £400.
Vibe Space 12 subwoofer.
Negative points with the car:
Sunroof opens on electric but needs to close manually.
OSF window works but is slow.
Drivers Bump strip/ door trim, whatever it is actually called could do with being changed.
The car is 22 years old so has a few marks around the car but nothing major.
I do work long hours so please bare with me when asking questions. My number is 07802 846 749 (Ben). I will answer when i can or call you back when i am free.
I"m sure i"ve forgotten something as this is a lot of car for the money and it"s hard to remember everything. Viewing is welcome on weekends but please try and give some notice as i"m always out and about.
It"s not much to ask but if you are young ish please do get an insurance quote first as it is a 2.8 V6 and it"s not really a first time driver kind of car.
By my standards, it is coming up for an oil change, depending on negotiations I will service it before it"s taken away.
I can deliver at a cost of fuel and my time as I wouldn"t mind a farewell road trip anyway.
