Arguably one of the greatest hot hatches ever made this gorgeous yellow example, one of just 220 Giallo Ginestra special editions which benefited from the eye-catching paint on top of typical 215bhp, 231lb ft four-wheel-drive Evo II mechanicals.
First impressions as you can see from the pictures yes it actually looks that good! The bodywork is practically flawless, garaged all of its life and never used in the rain or winter it really has been cherished example as you can tell by the immaculate rust free chassis. The 16” alloy wheels were sent away to be professionally refurbished to an exceptional standard and fitted with brand new Pirelli P Zero tyres. The only aftermarket parts fitted are by the renowned Rally Racing specialist in Japan Presto these were the Presto Rally Racing induction kit and Presto custom stainless steel Rally Racing exhaust system.
Our specialist team only hand pick the highest quality vehicles, so when they came across this they immediately informed us we have to get this at all cost, it’s one of the cleanest they have seen in a number of years!
It has all the original panels and has no repair history; it’s rare to find an original straight example such as this, especially one in such original condition that hasn’t been modified and abused. Inspection by Zagato Lancia London
We had the Lancia taken for an independent inspection by the renowned Lancia Delta specialists Zagato. Having a workforce with a combined 100 years of experience and being specialists in the Integrale model who better to take it to. First impressions were they were amazed at the overall condition. They carried out there 125 point inspection where they told us that they usually hand over customers pages of faults that need seeing to but they were struggling to find any on this Integrale. They then carried out an oil service and gave it the thumbs up.
Interior
Interior is outstanding, completely stock and fresh. The beautiful sports reclining Recaro seats upholstered in alcantara with yellow stitching are in excellent condition and the rear seats look like they’ve never been sat in. It retains the original factory Momo leather 3 spoke steering wheel, gear knob. All the dash door cards and plastic trims are in excellent condition. The black carpet still retains the factory thickness in the pile with no signs of wear and tear.
Chassis
It’s not just exceptionally clean on top, underneath is also completely rust free and the chassis rails have not been dented by incorrect jacking as seen with so many. Another point to note is just how clean it is under the rear arches, bumper irons and all the known problem areas a real testament to how highly maintained thisDelta has been.
Test Drive
As you would expect from a Delta of this standard it drives beautifully, Oil pressure is healthy and iconic 2-litre 16-valve turbo engine pulls boisterously throughout the rev range without any hesitation; gearbox is nice and fluent with no crunches. There are no knocks or rattles from the suspension; this is exactly how Lancia intended the car to drive from factory.
Another pleasant point to mention it also had a valid shaken before it left Japan; this means the car had passed the stringent Japanese testing which is a real testament to how well it has been maintained.
The Lancia Delta Integrale is now extremely sought after worldwide, and is considered the next big thing in the burgeoning classic and performance car market. Sourcing examples like this is like finding a needle in a hay stack.
