Selling on behalf of a friend, so please bear with me if you ask questions as I will have to find out details for you.
Rover MONTEGO Countryman 7 Seat Estate Car in good condition, but in need of some work to get it back on the road.
Good points:-
New tyres about 18 months ago which have only covered about 500 miles - new distributor cap, leads and starter coil along with a new alternator and battery. Engine starts well and the car still runs as I have tested it up and down my private yard.
Work required:-
NSR wheel arch has rotted badly and needs repair or replacement part. Brakes need attention as sitting around on SORN for nearly 2 years. Water leak on engine block as photographed, possibly the pressure cap? Rubber front wheel bushes require replacement.
Paintwork below the petrol filler lid has bubbled due to fuel spillages.Other items to note:-
OSF and OSR doors are replacements from a Maestro and haven"t had the trims replaced, although these parts are included in the sale.
A large number of spare parts are included in the sale, which are shown in the last 3 pictures above.
A great project for someone who has the time to get this car back up and running and will look great at classic car shows in the future.
