This auction is for our Ford Freda. It"s exactly the same as a Mazda Bongo but badged as a Ford. It"s the 4WD 2.5 diesel version with the electric pop up roof.
We have owned her since summer of 2013 and for the first 18 months or so of that time was also our daily car as well as a fun camper. We have now bought a much larger 5 birth motorhome and new car so the Bongo is no longer needed.
The car was regularly serviced by a local award winning garage from immediately after we bought it right up to last week.
She"s been off the road for a while after we bought the big motorhome as we decided this time of year would be best to sell her. The tax has run out but last week I took her for an MOT and service along with a new battery and a full valet. So, she"s now ready for her new owner. This car has 174500 kms, which is about 109000 miles on the clock and has age related wear. Please don"t expect to see a concourse vehicle! However, it"s never let us down. We put about 30k on it and the only thing I noticed as a slight leak at the top of the radiator. I had a new one fitted asap.
The drop links have been done - which is a known thing on these vehicles. It drives with no problems at all. The roof goes up and down nicely.
When we were using it as our camper I had a leisure battery tray welded in to the engine bay and a split charge relay and inverter fitted for 240v power and USB. The tray is still in situ and I still have the 120Ah battery but it"s been moved over to the big motorhome as a back-up. If the new owner pays the full asking price for her I"ll pop the battery back in and then you"ll only need an inverter for 240v power. We had one from Amazon and popped it behind the back seat.
The seating can be arranged for 8 belted seats but we currently have the middle row turned round and a table that sits in the middle. It takes about 30 mins to swap the seat back round to the standard configuration.
