1995 Toyota Previa GS, reliable motor owned for 8 years. Failed MOT yesterday due to emissions (CO 0.80, max for pass 0.30). It would probably pass if serviced (oil and filters and probably spark plugs) but I am picking up a new car next week and need it out of the way.Advisories on MOT: tyre wear on offside front and both rears, wear on rear brake pads and disc. Also, not mentioned this year but most times previously, engine oil leak.Other shortcomings worth noting are smell of petrol when driving with windows open (there is no leak and mpg is normal, I think smell is due to corrosion in the filler pipe but does not leak when filling), corrosion in rear wheel arches, scruffy paint particularly on tailgate and scratch on driver"s door. Tailgate has been replaced at some point and the key does not fit the lock, however locks and unlocks on central locking and has never been a problem. Central locking is not remote operated (never an option on Previas this age). Rear passengers" sliding door sometimes sticks on the seal if car has been left standing.Interior is pretty good for a car of this age, all electrics work, car is reliable - just returned from family holiday to North Wales with no problems. New catalytic converter fitted last year.
