The Aston Martin DB7 was designed by Ian Callum, and debuted at the 1993 Geneva Motorshow. Taking many of its design influences from earlier Aston Martin models including the DB4/5/6, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful Aston’s ever built. Production of the latest Aston Martin moved from Aston’s iconic home of Newport Pagnell to a purpose built facility in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. The DB7 was launched with a Six cylinder 3.2 litre supercharged engine which produced 335 bhp and boasted a 0-60 mph of 5.2 seconds. This powerful engine propelled the DB7 on to a top speed of 157 mph.Aston Martin manufactured 2449 DB7 i6 models from late 1994 to May 1999 and of this number 1570 were coupes. For me this adds rarity value compared with the DB7 Vantage which was manufactured in far greater numbers. This car was re-sprayed with the glass out in the summer of 2017 in its original stunning Solent Silver which can appear to be anywhere between light blue and Silver dependent on light conditions. I have included a couple of pictures that demonstrate the difference. It has also had an aftermarket stainless steel Quicksilver exhaust fitted in 2013. Servicing has has been done at Aston Martin and then Runnymeade, Trinity Engineering and David Marks last year (All AM heritage specialists). The car comes with the original log book and a folder full of information on what has been done since. Last year it was also under-sealed prior to MOT. If I was keeping her I would maybe get the wheels refurbished at some point but that is it.
