1997 BENTLEYAzure. 6.75 L. Believed fitted with ‘intermediate’ engine –
400BHP. Only 56531 miles, Service
history, 14 dealer stamps. Full 12 months MOT, Diamond silver with a refined light grey
leather interior with the usual walnut with stainless steel and chromed
fittings and a full set of Lambswool over-rugs. Grey cloth and mohair-lined electrically
retracting roof. It sailed through it’s
M.O.T. yesterday, with no advisories.
· Cost new believed
to be £255,000, this very rare car came with £20,000 worth of extras specified
by it’s original owner, including Continental ‘T’ suspension and the Continental ‘T’ wheels, with wider tyres and
larger rims. These 5-spoke allows are far more beautiful and desirable than the
standard rims – see photos. The tyres
are 285/45/ZR18. Also fitted from new:
‘SmartNav’ navigation system, ‘Tracker’ security and Speed camera
recognition and warning system. Built
into the centre arm-rest is Motorola’s GSM phone. This is a unique car with very high spec. and
must be seen. Flying B and Winged B
badging on radiator shell – see photos. It has the "facelifted" treatment to the front end, with the latest matrix grill and to the area just below the headlamps.
· Included in the
sale is private plate ‘WO 1821’. Very
special for a BENTLEY, a WO plate has had an association with the company from
the start. They were Mr BENTLEY’s
initials (he was known as ‘WO’) and were
on the 1930’s BENTLEY Le Mans race winners and a WO plate is still used on each
new model BENTLEY given to motoring journalists for road-testing and
evaluation. This plate’s value is £4000
on any car and considerably more, as added value, on a BENTLEY. DVLA has supplied the full ownership history.
· Pristine condition
throughout interior and exterior, this car has been constantly garaged with a
de-humidifier running every day. I have
happily and proudly owned this car for 8 years and covered 1100-1200 each year. It has seen rain only about 3 times in my
ownership. The car has been totally reliable. For the new owner, I have compiled, from my diary entries and receipts,
a record of every maintenance job done during my ownership. £69995 ovno.
