Welcome to the auction for a 1997 Lexus LS400 Automatic in Westminster Blue with Saville Grey Leather. 87,019 miles.
The car has the usual LS refinements including: e/windows, e/sunroof, e/mirrors, e/steering wheel, e/seats, heated seats, dual digital climate control, memory function for: seats, mirrors and seatbelt adjusters, 6 disc CD radio cassette system. Service history is fully stamped from new and the original book pack with the owners CD is also present. There are many bills and receipts with the car detailing what has been spent over the years. Wheel brace, jack and toolkit are all present. V5 in my name.
Cambelt was done in 2012 at 62,000 miles with all paperwork to prove. In April this year, the rear shock absorbers were replaced (KYB original fitment) along with the springs plus shock boots and bump stops at a cost of £419.58. There is 9 months MOT left and the car has been serviced by a Japanese independent specialist.

Despite the bad points, the general condition of the car is still fairly good overall and it does present quite well as you can see from the photos. The interior is very good, with the leather being cleaned and fed on a seasonal basis using a gentle cleaning spray and creme feed. The body panels have no significant dents or deep scratches, although there is some scuffing to the rear bumper. The display unit for the radio/cassette/CD and climate control is functioning perfectly - there is no pixel bleed or black out, which again is a fairly common affliction with these vehicles.
It was my intention to keep the car as a rolling restoration and attend to all of the items on the above list - they really are that good. Sadly, I no longer have the time or facilities to give the car the attention it deserves and so I would love to see it go to a new owner who will bring it back to its former glory.
