“The car is a runner and has a current MOT, taxed and insured. I only use the car for local journeys as there is a problem with the automatic gearbox. As yet I do not know what this problem is but have been told by a reputable garage that it could be a bearing within the gearbox.I must stress that the gearbox behaves impeccably, it changes up and down without any trouble. The bodywork is in excellent condition, no rust, but the rear bumper has a slight dent in it where a delivery van ran into the car, (while at a garage waiting for work to be done to it !) The engine and cooling system are in perfect working order, I have had NO trouble whatsoever with either of these components. As you can see from the photos the interior is in good condition apart from some wearing on the drivers seat. The front tyres are on approx 2mm depth but the rear ones are just about legal. The exhaust system has had a brand new rear box but the middle section is now blowing. Everything else with the car is ok.”

vehicle description:

 I have used the car almost continually for about two years. The only trouble was that the noise in the gearbox steadily got worse over time. The car has always been reliable and I have replaced the front discs and pads about 8 months ago, but the car has not been run continually since July so the brakes have had very little wear. It has a 2.0 litre engine which has been trouble free and has hardly used any oil at all. I have done approx 20000 miles in this car along with a lot of motorway driving as well but after I gave up work. (I used the car as part of my job) I didn`t need to use the car so much as I could get to places I wanted to go to via public transport, so the car became surplus to requirements and I did not want to spend a lot of money getting the gearbox seen to.
