You are bidding on my beloved 1997 Saab 900S Convertible.
Only selling as we are about to move home and we will need the garage space.
I have owned this lovely car for nearly 10 years and in all this time have only done approximately 50,000 miles as my second (toy!) car and it has been garaged all of the time.
It has a great British Racing Green colour and in all the years that I have owned it, have only seen one other Saab of the same colour.
I am always totally honest when selling on ebay and always point out the faults in my items, but can only find a few very minor faults with this car.
Firstly, the leather seats are showing signs of their age, especially the drivers seat, which is shown in the picture. After 16 years, wouldn’t all our seats show signs of wear!!
Secondly, there appear to be 3 or 4 minor indentations on the bonnet, which really only show in a certain light. Again, I have tried to show this in the photo. The big apparent indentation in the reflection of the tree is a trick of the light. It certainly isn’t that big.
There also seemed to be patch of grey paint under the rear bumper. This has since been fixed.
Even though it is 16 years old, it can only be called sweet 16 as there are very few signs of its’ age with only very minor scratches etc.
It has always started first time, every time and we have kept every MOT since we have had it, and quite a few since before we had it as we bought it from a friend.
We have remained friends with these people, so it must have been a good buy!
Now for the technical details.
It is a 1985 cc engine with automatic transmission. The electric hood is immaculate and works perfectly.
It has alloy wheels and a Saab CD cartridge player in the boot with the controls on the dashboard.
It has a full years MOT from 31/10/2014.
It is currently on a personalized plate but I will be keeping this so it will revert back to an R registration.
It has a genuine under 91,000 miles on the clock(as mentioned, most MOT’s have been kept) which means it has done under 5700 miles a year!
I will be really, really sad to see this go, so my husband will have to do the business, but it MUST go to a good home with loving owners.
I would like to come and visit it occasionally!!
