Please find listed my 1997 TVR CERBERA
I have owned the car for 3 years now, she looks great, sounds amazing and is a joy to drive, this is a well sorted Cerb and if I had the space I would keep her, sadly new house has no garage so the car is at my parents and being almost 80 they aren"t great fans of me going over Sunday mornings for a drive.
The car is in pretty good shape, not immaculate but certainly clean and tidy with a rust free chasis.
Recent work completed in November 2015
Checked and replaced all spark plugs due to fowling
Checked injectors are firing correctly
Removed injectors to clean and inspect,
Checked ecu for any faults, 1 lambda fault
Replaced lambda, ecu fault cleared
Reset ecu adaptive map
Reset throttle pot
Aligned throttle body bar
Road tested
Put on gas analyser, emissions now correct, ecu fuelling correctly and throttle and adaptive maps are correct.
Fuelling does run a little leaner then stock due to cats being removed but no out of spec or at all dangerous or harmful to the engine.
Your more than welcome to come and have a look underneath, chassis is straight and in good condition
Bad part the car is a cat c, had wing damage, no chasis problems, the car is completely straight and a lot of money was invested to upgrade existing parts and get her in the shape that can be seen here.
Just before the accident she had a new engine fitted, the crank in the old one had snapped. When the previous owner got the car back he decided to give the car a full overhaul, I will try and list everything she has had done.
• Reconditioned engine at 63000 miles its a 4.5 bottom end with a 4.2 top end.
• Front end repair with updated headlights
• Full re-spray in pearl white
• 18inch spiders fitted in anthracite black
• AP racing brakes fitted
• Recon steering rack
• New Clutch and Drive shafts
• New Aluminium Radiator
• New window winder motors (although these are still slow)
• New Aircon receiver/Dryer
• Silicon coolant houses
• Full set of Gaz Gold shocks all round
• Geometry set up (although I think it’s a bit low that’s personal opinion though)
• New alternator belt
• Tappets shimmed
• New anti roll bar bushes front and back
• Stainless steel coolant manifold
• Full stainless steel decat exhaust system (cats available for MOT)
• Recently fitted new battery
• Recently had the rear diff mount replaced
At 66000 miles the engine had the 6000 mile service and this was in 2012 so its not been greatly used, I took her to Goodwood last year and she was brilliant didn’t miss a beat and since then sadly she has been dry stored on a trickle charger.
Few stone chips and a little crack under the number plate, the bolster needs repairing it currently has a carbon fibre patch but the rest of the interior is in good condition. The car is by no means concourse or mint but she is nice for a 97 car. Comes with a new set of rear tyres and the number plate is included which was valued at 800
A really nice car, turns heads, sounds fantastic is extremely quick, but then what TVR isn’t all of the above. I have really enjoyed owning her I just don’t get the time to use her as she is now garaged at my parent’s house.
