A very good looking Elise finished unusually in solid Black with black leather trim. All HPI clear and with a low mileage. A great driver"s car and apparently an appreciating future classic!!
History
It has had 5 owners in total from new. . . . which is not that bad for a car that"s now 17 years old. The last owner had had the car for 2 years but as a retired gentleman could no longer get and in out of the car comfortably. The mileage is warrantied as correct and we have all the MOT history for the car. To be honest the service book has been lost in the passages of time and although Castle Lotus seem to have cared for the car for a part of its life ( and sold it twice) as they have ceased trading that has now been lost. We have all the receipts from the last owner and the car had a new hood a couple of years ago. The car ha a new MOT and is HPI clear. We have a number of old MOT"s and a few other service invoices.
Condition
It is a 17 year old car and without wanting to sound horrid this is now very much a budget Elise . . . . however in fairness it is still very bright. The alloy wheels are still clean and tidy and the car wear branded tyres. There is the odd light scuff on the leather , but no holes or major wear, and although there is the odd chip and mark on the body there is nothing at all serious. Please see the photographs for a better idea. Please bear in mind it a nice older car not a brand new one!
Comments
The car drives really well and still feels modern and light. The engine pulls well in every gear and the gearbox is light and easy to use. On a lot of levels the Elise is a flawed car and should not be confused as being as easy to live with as say an MX5. They"re a bugger to get in and out of, you feel and indeed hear every bump in the road and they are noisy inside on a run BUT I still yearn for an Elise as they offer such a true driving experience and you feel part of the car as you drive into bends. A joyous thing to have tucked in the garage for a weekend blast!
