1998 ‘S’ TVR Chimaera 400 – Stunning low mileage example
I’ve had the pleasure of owning this car for 8 years now. Used only for high days and holidays and NEVER comes out when it’s wet.
It seems a shame to let this waste away in my garage when someone could, and should be getting a great deal of enjoyment from it.
The car has less than 27,000 miles on the clock with plenty of provenance to prove it but once you see just how original it looks you will know that it’s completely genuine.
It is a completely standard 4ltr car in Formula Red and Magnolia interior. I spent an age looking for this combination that was of appropriate quality because I believe that the colours are the best combination there is.
The chassis is in top notch condition. No Issues.
Stacks of history, full service record and regardless of whether it needs it or not gets a new petrol and oil filter every time it comes out plus new engine oil.
Recent MOT.
One thing that’s not standard is that I have taken out the cigar lighter and replaced it with a dual USB charging point. If you want it back to original I’ll do it.
Expensive Pioneer ICE head unit with iPod AUX input and Bluetooth for your phone.
As a factory option the Chimaera was fitted with sports exhaust which makes the standard Chimaera exhaust sound positively wimpish in my view.
Good clean hood with a clear rear window. Bodywork is a gleaming red with the odd chip carefully touched.
Avon tyres on clean standard rims.
Original owner"s manual, roof cover and TVR toolkit.
Anyone who is serious about buying such a great British muscle car should come along and see this.
You won’t be disappointed by this stunning machine.
