TVR CHIMAERA 400 1998 PEARL “Nach” Blue. Blue / Magnolia trim
Excellent condition throughout and benefitting from recent new carpet set. Stylish carbon fibre dashboard, new stereo. Mechanically very good providing its full quota of 220BHP and 250lbs torque. Chassis good having had the outriggers replaced in March 2014, desirable later type 5-speed gearbox and Serpentine engine. It has four excellent matching Toyo tyres on alloy wheels. This car has power steering and factory fitted aircon. 91,000miles, 12 months MOT.
This car has the original service book which is complete and a folder full of receipts for regular services up to 89000 miles and numerous other items such as radiator, wishbones etc. It appears that no expense was spared on the regular maintenance of this car. Upon purchase, I serviced the car myself changing all fluids. I have ready for its next service a new HT lead set & a set of new plug shrouds. I have never crashed or raced the car and I am confident that the chassis will pass inspection. The overall body condition is better than would be expected with the mileage of the car whilst the interior has been brought back to a good standard. 
This car has done just a couple of miles since MOT 30/10/2015 (no advisory’s).
I am a TVR owners club member & the car has been lovingly cared for. Car other than the carbon dash is completely standard and original which is rare as many have been modified.
Now the bad bit’s.
Seats could do with a recolour (cheap kits can be purchased on the net). Personally I like the patina they currently are. This is not really a fault as the seats are not split nor will they as I have regularly fed the leather however some people do like the “as new look” which these aren’t. Windscreen has two chips on the passenger side & some clouding to the base. Front NS wheel has kerb marks. Aircon required a regas (I personally cannot see the benefit of aircon in a convertible). Electric mirrors work when they want & the alarm fobs need new batteries.
All in all this car has been a pleasure to own and run. The only reason for sale is I don’t have the time to use it and feel it unfair to keep it locked away in the garage.
