Hello and welcome to the sale of my brilliant Toyota Corolla SR which has been in our family since 2002. It is a brilliant car which I really enjoy driving and since I took ownership in September 2014 has been absolutely faultless and has always run perfectly. During my ownership I have only had to replace the exhaust, rear brakes and front tyres. I bought it from my wife"s uncle who bought it as the second owner in 2002.  He had it serviced every year at Toyota and then Honda without fail and  no expense was spared during this time. The service history for this car is simply stunning and there is a total of 19 service stamps in the service book. He had to sell it as he could no longer get in and out due to a bad hip. The reliability and build quality of this generation of Toyota Corolla is simply superb and shows Toyota at it"s very best. The car has been a pleasure to own and is very cheap to run and I know it performed faultlessly for the previous owner during his 12 ownership.  The 1.6 SR was the top of the range sport version of the Corolla at the time and comes with upgraded sports suspension over the lesser Corolla"s and with a powerful 1.6 engine and close ratio gearbox. It also has power steering, electric windows and sunroof, air conditioning, multi CD changer and alloy wheels.  The car is in brilliant condition with only one light scratch on the drivers door but apart from that it is perfect with no rust or dents. Likewise the interior is in excellent condition and everything on the car works perfectly and without fault. The ONLY negative on the whole car is that it can occasionally pop out of fifth gear. This is a common problem with this model of gearbox and affects MR2"s as well. It has been like this since the previous owner and I bought it knowing about it but at the time it didn"t concern me, I just wanted something cheap and reliable. I have looked into fixing it but it would cost £800 which is about double the value of the car. I simply hold it in gear if on using fifth for a short time or use a clip that I made to hold it in place for longer journeys, it works perfectly. All other gears are perfect as is the entire operation of the gearbox, it"s just the mechanism that holds fifth gear in place that has worn away. I initially bought it to use while I was between cars but it was so good I didn"t want to sell it. I have now bought another car that I have wanted to own for some time and I sadly don"t have space for both otherwise I"d love to keep it especially given the value of it. I am looking for around £400 which for a car of this quality, perfect history and low mileage is amazing value for money. Mileage is 85,000 miles and MOT is until August 2016. It was last serviced in August 2015 and the cambelt was done July 2012. I will start the auction very low but if it has not reached over £300 with 24hours to go I will stop end it early as I don"t want to give it away, it"s simply to good a car.
