“Key Recent Maintenance Activities: Cam, balance & accessory drive belts, tensioner & idlers, water pump, camshaft variator and thermostat changed at 75,500 miles – see pictures. Full service: spark plugs, oils, filters and coolant changed at 75,500. Rear shock strut bushes replaced with poly bushes and new shock absorbers at 74,500 miles. Mid section exhaust replaced Oct 2014. Low mileage for age and apart from a noisy clutch release bearing it is in good mechanical condition with full leather interior and working air conditioning. Things still needing to be addressed are a noisy clutch release bearing and the paintwork, which like many red Alfas, suffered from peeling lacquer on the roof, as well as some parking dents/scuffs on the passenger door. Car still looks quite presentable and performs well as it is. The engine is wonderful and free revving and with all the work done can be driven with confidence for another 35,000 miles until the next cambelt change.”

It has low mileage for its age and apart from a noisy clutch release bearing it is in good mechanical condition, and as you can see above I have done a good deal of work on it this year to make it so. It is also well equipped with tan leather interior and fully working air conditioning, making it the perfect sports car in summer.   The things that still need to be addressed is a noisy clutch release bearing and the paintwork, which whilst sound has, like many red Alfas, suffered from peeling lacquer on the roof, and some parking dents/scuffs on the passenger side. My intention was that when all the mechanical things had been sorted I would get the car re-sprayed; but it still looks quite presentable and works fine as it is. The engine is wonderful and free revving and with all the work I’ve done can be driven with confidence for another 35,000 miles until the next cambelt change is due. The car has been kept garaged so is in good dry condition otherwise. I have all documentation and some service history and 3 keys including the all important master key.   My reason fore selling that our main everyday driver cars have developed a few snags that need to be funded, so having a project car is a bit of a luxury, so it’s time I had one less car on the drive.   With MOT until April 2015 this will make an excellent daily driver and project car, I’m looking for around £750 ono, which is a bargain considering I have spent over £900 on it this year.   To view or for more information, please e-mail me for contact details.
