1999 GTV V6 Lusso 5 speed
I bought this car last year with the intention to restore to her former glory, unfortunately a mixture of two young kids, a driveway full of other projects and work commitments have forced the sale.
This car is a great find, not rusty like most GTVs of this vintage, this car has a solid floor pan!!
I"ve just MOT"d the car and its passed with just one advisory, which was a chip in the windscreen.In fact this GTV passed most of its prior MOTs with one or two advisories at the most.
The car drives very well. The engine is strong and pulls cleanly to the redline without any hesitation or smoke etc.
The transmission is buttery smooth, with great gear changes even from stone cold.The clutch has plenty of life left and does not slip unintentionally at all.
The timing belt, tensioners and water pump were changed 5 years ago and are due now.
The service book is included but only has a few stamps, however there is a folder full of receipts for the servicing carried out which were not stamped in the book.Including a few from a respected Porsche independent!
Viewing and test drives are most welcome before the auction ends, please get in contact.However you will need to insure the car yourself as I have now swapped over the policy to another car.
Good points: HPI Clear - Never written off, no finance attached etc 12 months MOT with one advisory (chip in screen)Alpine CD playerNew premium batteryDrives great, no knocks, bangs or odd noises Vehicle does not overheat, fan kicks in and out as it should No engine fault lights and no airbag lights on dash. I have checked the ECU and Airbag ECU and no faults recorded!Sounds EPIC - the V6 soundtrack is great!Appreciating in value!
Bad points:The body is rust free however it does have a few marks, scratches and minor dents. Overall it is very presentable but I would think a good polish would get rid of most marks.The wheels have minor curbing and marksOccasionally the vehicle has a slightly rough idle, I know a lot of them have this and been told this is perfectly normal. Above Idle the engine is super smooth. I"m guessing a good long drive may help as the car has not been driven properly for a while now.Driver seat does not flip forward, passenger seat works fine.Air conditioning needs regassing.
