A very unique opportunity to acquire a fully-loaded, extremely powerful and superb condition E-Class.
This is a NO RESERVE auction for this UK Borders Agency repossession vehicle.
The car is left hand drive, Romanian registered and was intercepted upon entrance into Ireland.

So, where to begin.  A simply stunning vehicle all round in amazing condition given the state that these cars tend to get into in the UK.  The car has been searched by the Borders Agency who have obviously found cause for concern and confiscated the vehicle - it is now for sale with no reserve.  Some carpets and seats have been removed in searching the car and are still out of place around the boot interior and the rear seat base is lose and needs fitting back in properly.  We"ll start with photos demonstrating the lack of any rust present on the wings, doors and wheel arches of the vehicle.
The specification of the car exceeds what I thought was even possible of an E-Class of this era.  It must"ve had EVERY option box ticked.  Here"s the run down of the standard spec on top of the many option boxes that must"ve been ticked.

The drive is every bit as good as it should be.  That V8 is silent at idle, purrs along at 40 and will tear your face off you push the loud pedal.  The engine and gearbox feel extremely well serviced and have performed faultlessly during testing.  The suspension feels perfect, the car handles bends with ease and there are no untoward noises.  There is however, a pretty major coolant leak from the pipe leaving the lower end of the radiator.  The car does not overheat or show signs of leaking any other fluids.  This is the most major fault with the car. 
The interior is in very good condition.  As mentioned before, the rear seat base is lose and some trim around the boot is out of place.  The drivers seat shows the usual wear for the mileage but there are no holes or rips anywhere.  The carpets are generally clean and the car smells relatively fresh.  The gadgets mentioned before do show the following areas for concern -

There is a tow bar fitted, spare wheel present and a BRC LPG system (the same as fitted to my Renault Avantime) with a tank in the boot.  The gauge shows empty and the system is untested.  The filler doesn"t look like a standard one?  Perhaps they differ in Eastern Europe?
All tyres have plenty of tread, the alloy wheels are in good condition and the bodywork is amazing for the year.  Here"s the bad points.  A little dint on the boot lid, a few bumper scuffs and some light scratches above the passenger side rear wheel arch.  The only rust I can find is around the lock on the tailgate.
So there you have it, an extremely presentable and fully-loaded E430.  Bound to be something for a Mercedes enthusiast or collector?  I am so unbelievably reluctant to sell it, but unfortunately I have no indoor storage for my cars at the moment, and this E430 deserves a spot indoors.
It comes with the full manual pack and a few service stamps from early on it"s life.  One remote key, Romanian registration certificate and letter clearing the car for registration with DVLA if needs be.  The car is ideal for export, I have no idea at how difficult the registration process would be for the UK, but the car HAS been cleared by the Borders Agency, so there is no question mark over it"s presence in the UK.

The car is in BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND.  Five minutes from the Stena port to Scotland, 15 minutes from both airports.  Buyers with less than 10 feedback MUST mail me before bidding or the bid will be removed.
It has been subject to a test-drive and cosmetic inspection - NOT A MECHANICAL INSPECTION.
