1999 Saab 9-3 93 2.0SE Convertible with manual gearbox Lovely, well cared for Saab in much better condition than many you will see. The bodywork is in excellent condition and the interior is very clean and tidy. The leather seats are much, much better than you will see on many cars of a similar age. The convertible roof is in good condition with no damage to the fabric, and it does not leak when it rains. The roof goes up and down smoothly at the touch of a button just as it should. All electric windows etc. work as they should. There are two keys/fobs and the full document pack that came with the car when it was new. The car has only done 109000 miles from new, and is MOT’d until June. Under the new DVLA regulations the road tax isn’t transferrable to the new owner. This car has the fuel injected Saab 2 litre engine. No turbo so cheaper on insurance and less to go wrong.  Chain driven cam, so no cam belt to break or replace.  These engines are very long lived, and this one runs well without needing any oil or water to be added between services. I have owned the car for 5 years, and during that time it has been serviced and maintained in the workshop I use for renovating and maintaining my classic cars. I last serviced it in September so it shouldn’t need another service until the autumn. I’m only selling the car because I needed an estate car (which I’ve now bought) Work I’ve done on the car includes: Replacement of front brake disks and brake pads Replacement of rear brake disks and brake pads Replacement of handbrake shoes Replacement of rear shock absorbers Replacement of front lower suspension arms and bushes Replacement of anti-roll bar link Replacement of auxiliary drive belt tensioner/idler wheel Replaced rear exhaust (with a slightly sporty item as it was a lot cheaper than the Saab part – it gives the car a nice exhaust sound, but without making it loud) I’ve disconnected the air-conditioning by fitting a shorter drive belt. I did this to improve fuel consumption, as after all it is a convertible, so what do you need air con for? I will supply the longer belt with the car in case the new owner wants to have the air-con reconnected. The car currently has a crack in the windscreen. The crack is in the bottom corner on the passenger side, and the ends of the crack reach the edge of the screen so it is unlikely to get worse.  Usually windscreens can be replaced cheaply or free by the car’s insurers without affecting NCB, but I can’t get it done on my policy so the car is being sold with the cracked screen. There is no buy it now price so please don’t send messages asking for it. Payment for the car is strictly cash only. No cheques, no drafts, no PayPal etc.  The car is to be paid for in full, and collected within 7 days of the end of the auction.
