I have for sale my 2000 model year 1.8T roadster (180 bhp) quattro in metallic green with black electric roof. The car has unfortunately suffered engine failure due to an exhaust valve breakage. This occurred during a low speed pull away manoeuvre and the car just stopped. After investigation and head removal it was found that one exhaust valve had broken in number 4 cylinder. This has damaged the head and one piston. I have purchased a good, low mileage, correct AJQ bare head that is included in the sale. Prior to the incident, the car was running well and gearbox and Quattro system performing as it should. The TT has Full Service History (13 stamps), MOT until 26th April 2015, HPI clear documentation and covered 146k miles. Other key features are full green leather interior, Bose 6 CD sound system, Climate control and electric roof in good condition. The body work is in very good condition and one of the best colours combinations. Over the years the car has had a lot of money spent (I have the bill of sale to the second owner for £16700!) including: Dec 2014-Rear shock absorbers and hazard warning switch Oct 2014-New windscreen Sept 2014-Suspension bushes and various parts June 2014-New electric roof rams and kit April 2014-New front discs and pads Jan 2014-CV gaiters all round July 2013- Four Conti Sport tyres plus coil pack April 2013-New cam belt kit and water pump. The points needing attention are: Head needs reconditioning and refitting, plus one piston Small tear on driver seat bolster (30mm) Dashpod showing some pixel failure I will be very sorry to see the TT go as early cars are getting hard to find in this condition, but due to other commitments I do not have time to complete the project. I have advertised the car elsewhere and suggest that you come to see the car before you bid, to satisfy yourself that once repaired by a fairly capable home mechanic, the car will be ready for the better weather.
