Fitted with nearly new set of good quality winter tyres - excellent traction in snow, lots of tread left.
Tow bar.
Air conditioning (works great)
Working CD/Radio and good sound (Infinity Gold, factory upgrade I think)
Cruise control, compass, good lights etc.
Nice to drive and comfortable. Doesn"t hang about.
We use it as a second car to transport "bulky stuff" and take our two retired greyhounds out, we also use it in the winter when the roads are bad, it"s been very useful.
My wife has just got a new 4x4 (much more practical, she had a mini previously) so we no longer need it and it"s just going to take up space on the drive.
Issues that I"m aware of:
Some scuffs and marks as you would expect for the age.
Alarm siren isn"t connected (went off a few times for no reason, so I disconnected it - don"t need it)
Steering oil leak (small/slow) so I"ve topped it up a couple of times this year.
Drivers heated seat doesn"t work or is intermittent, I think passenger one works, but have not tried it recently.
Not used much so the battery isn"t in great condition, would advise replacing, it can start it but it looses charge.(I"d say alternator is good - a drive charges it)
MOT picked up a minor exhaust leak and some wear and tare, but passed without needing anything major.
ABS warning light comes on (I don"t think the ABS works).
Priced to reflect these and the condition. These are the issues I"m aware of, there may be others, I"m including these to be as honest as possible.
Niggles aside, it drives fine, runs pretty good for it"s age and hasn"t given us any real problems. Genuine reason for sale - we have no need for it anymore.
I"m not a mechanic and don"t get involved with that stuff, it starts, it drives, it passed it"s last MOT for under £100 (inc MOT). These issues may be easy fixes for someone who knows what they"re doing, or it might be a few quid at a local garage and they"re all sorted. None of them bother us enough to worry about, so, it"s as it is.
It"s not a new car and it"s got it"s niggles relative to it"s age, but with a little love I"d think it would make a sound 4x4 or utility vehicle, to be fair, I drive it whenever we need it and it"s not let us down.
