2000 Porsche BOXSTER S
MY 2000 Porsche BOXSTER S - please read all below.
In my opinion the 3.2S is the ONLY BOXSTER worth having.
Finished in Guards Red Metallic with the full black leather interior. I looked for this combination because when you see it the combination it truly is stunning.
Manual 6 Speed Gearbox - a superb handling drivers car which sounds superb.
If im being completely honest i was a little worried when going to buy the car as it was 15 years old then and I know first hand how expensive Porsche can be to fix when things go wrong but luckily for me my best friends dad is the head mechanic at our local Porsche dealership,he has been a mechanic for over 30 years and has specialised purely in Porsche for over 20 years,he knows literally everything there is to know about them,He came with us to check the car over and brought with him 2 diagnostic machines ( One of them was a top of the range at the time costing over £9,000!! ) Just to be 100 % sure that there was no problems / hidden issues with this car and i was really pleased when both machines confirmed this! The car itself is totally original and has not been modified/ adjusted in anyway,The only 2 things that have been done to this car is the front and rear light indicators have been tinted using tinted spray ( Can be removed very easily removed should the new buyer choose to do so ) Also the wheels have been professionally resprayed in satin black ( As apposed to the original silver ) Both of these 2 gentle customisations was done by the previous owner before i purchased it but in my opinion they compliment the car really well and its never interested me in taking them back to the original as it looks far better.
Mileage when I purchased was 101,000 and it has always been a second car so mileage by me has been minimal. The car lives in a heated and insulated garage which most people would be happy to live in.
I think the BOXSTER S is a much better handling car than the 911 and much prefer it - I can say this having both - it is definitely not a poor mans Porsche and much more fun than the 911.
My wife has constantly nagged me to sell the car saying I dont need it. Which is true but I really love this car. I put the car through an mot a couple of weeks ago which it passed no problems with only 1 advisory and that is that at some in future it will need a new handbrake cable as the one in there now has got some signs of wear which is expected for a car of this age, the car has only done 25 miles since last MOT which unfortunately gave more ammunition to my wife. The mileage has always been minimal since owning the 911 and with a second baby on the way with regret it has to go.
The previous owner Replaced all 6 Coil Packs and replaced plugs with Iridium. Full Service with Filters and Oil replaced (Mobil 1)
Fitted a top of the range replacement sterio unit with the latest App radio,call answering that has Bluetooth connection (Superb System) But i also have the original Porsche stereo Should the new owner like to keep the car looking original.
Everything on the car works exactly as it should and there is no issues what so ever
Pictures are a good representation of the car, The car was not valeted or detailed and always looks as good as this.
All handbooks and two keys go with the car.
I want a minimum of £5000 for the car as i feel its easily worth this.
