“AllTVRs are fast, but one car was even more spectacular - the Cerbera. It took 4 seconds flat to go from rest to 60 mph, and then hit the ton in 9.1 seconds. It was faster than a Ferrari 550 Maranello, Lamborghini Diablo SV and even Bugatti EB110 GT! Only McLaren F1, Ferrari F50 and Porsche 911 GT1 were proved to be faster in acceleration, yet these cars cost at least 8 times more than the £40,000 TVR. This was the world"s cheapest supercar. Available to purchase direct from WP Sports & Classics is this stunning Cerbera 4.5 Lightweight finished in Smoke Titanium grey with Anthracite/Nimbus grey leather. As quoted by Autocar and many other critics, breath-taking performance and for a reasonable price compared to other vehicles in its league.
The TVR benefits from being a 1999 model meaning the larger 4.5 V8 engine from the factory and lightweight package was fitted. The difference in design where lightweight honeycomb composite panels which saved approximately 40kg on the shell as well as a reworked interior design reducing the weight even further. This was part of TVR"s move towards the use of high tech composite technology on road as well as race cars.
Its still a TVR but does come with creature comforts including alarm, TVR Spider 18” alloy wheels, CD player, central locking, air-conditioning, electric mirrors, front electric windows, heated mirrors, leather seat trim, lumbar support, PAS, rear electric windows, steering wheel rake adjustment and steering wheel reach adjustment.
The car underwent a huge service at Taylor TVR in 2012 which included the outriggers being replaced. Although not badly perished, the current owner has taken the no expense spared approach during his ownership and had them done anyway. Since then the car has done less then 600 miles and has been privately owned and stored in a dehumidified environment. Although not MOT’d it has been serviced every year regardless with the book all up to date.
Stacks of paperwork is present as well as the original TVR books.
