For sale is my 2001 BMW 530I MSport. Finished in topaz blue with grey Dakota leather interior. It has covered 121000 miles which will go in as in daily use.I purchased the car in November 2014 with the idea of fixing all the bits and bobs. But I really need something that is a bit more economical due to a change in job.The car has an MOT until February 2016, it had 2 advisories. Front near side tyre is close to the legal limit and the rear number plate is deteriorating. That"s it and this is a 14 year old car.When I purchased the car I was not given the service history, I did write to the previous owner who had the car for 9 years it no reply. It reads never buy one of these without a service history but the service parts are all main dealer and it runs good.Pre tax rating so 280.00 tax per year.It is fully loaded, I have added a Bluetooth module to the stereo. It is pluged into the 6 disc changer port, this is still in the car. Works but is not plugged in.The engine, gearbox and drive train are really very good, no bangs smoke or rattles, it all works as it should. Gear change is smooth and precise, engine is like a train and sounds great. It does not feel or drive like a 14 year old car, in fact a Mondeo half its age will not be a patch on this.Since purchasing the car I have had the following work done.Rocket racket replaced and sealed.Front and rear pads replaced, mintex.Top radiator hose replaced.Auxiliary belt and tensioner replaced.Oil and filter service, I have enough oil for another service which I will include.Air filter replaced.Outside temperature probe replaced.Coolant change, comma g48 used.Near side rear tyre replaced, hankook.The bodywork is good there are a coup,e of bits that need doing, but it has no rust in the usual e39 places.It has had the bumpers resprayed at some point. They are a slightly difference shade but its not really noticible unless you look, hard.I had an accident in the car in December and the whole drivers side has been resprayed. I will give the guarantee to the purchaser.The bad bits....Drivers door rubber gasket has perished in places.A/c is not cold, may be a gas problem.Driver front speakers not working.Screen wash cap missing.Small scrap to the bottom corners of the front wing and both plastic trims underneath need replacing, common when parking front in on kerbs.All 4 wheels on the car have kerb marks, not bad and no chunks out of the.Near side front tyre is worn on the inner edge and needs replacing. All the others are very legal.Spare wheel has been refurbished, the tyre new replacing.Stone chips to the bonnet, not many but some.2 10mm patches of lacquer are lifting on the bonnet.10cm long thin client scratch to the boot lid by top edge. It has not gone through the primer.Near side rear arch has had a poor repair. The paint and filler are not level and some surface rust is showing, Its solid and I was quotes 100.00 plus vat for a repair. plastic clip that holds the radiator expansion tank has broken.
Small parking dent on the roof, it looks like a trolley ding.The tracking and camber needs doing due to the wear on the front tyre. The wear is down to the wheel scrubbing.The drivers seat is showing wear. The bottom bolster is worn but the leather is not cracked or split. I have a leather repair kit which I will include.Please don"t let the issues put you off, this is a good e39. It needs a good home and someone to give it some TLC. I really wish it was me, I love these cars and this is my third. But as stated I need something the does not drink as much.I have tried to list everything I find, I may have missed something like a scratch. But it is really good mechanically and does not have any other issues to my knowledge other than those listed.No warranty or indemnities are offered.
