I have owned this car for 4 years and covered 40,000 trouble free miles.
Superb Honda build quality and reliability
It is very comfortable and relaxing to drive, it is like you are sitting in your favourite armchair, with elevated driving position and good visibility all round
Very spacious in the front and rear, and will carry 5 adults
The gear shift is mounted on the steering column like in American cars
Four wheel drive is very capable in snow and flooded roads, and engages automatically without the need to press buttons or pull levers
Future classic – handsome looking iconic 4x4 with rear mounted spare wheel and split opening tailgate. So much better looking than the later CRV models

Bad points: the interior clock displays intermittently, this is an easy fix if you know someone with a soldering iron – we had it done on our previous CRV
The air conditioning does not go cold, so probably needs recharging
There is an after market alarm fitted, but I have never tried to use it in the four years I have had the car
There are small dents on the nearside rear passenger door, tailgate and light scuffs on the bumper bars and spare wheel cover. These were on the car when I got it, and barely noticeable. The black coachwork polishes up really well
I have Sorned the CRV from 1st July, it was in daily use up to the 30th June
The CRV is located near Cockermouth in Cumbria
