Selling my 2001 LPG X-type 2.5 V6.
Owned it nearly 5 Years and had the LPG conversion fitted at AJR autos a certified LPG installer. Bought the car with 45,000 miles on it. Since I"ve owned it the LPG system has had regular services as well as the car.
This is a great car for winter, I have taken it across the alps in snow and Ice and it was brilliant as it has plenty of power and also 4 wheel drive.
It has a few scratches and dents here n there, worst being on the boot from a push bike pedal. The drivers side leather seat is worn and has a slight tear also shown in photo. It has all season tyres on it that are coming to the end of their life.
The gearbox can occasionally be a bit snatchy on over run and pulling away again (coming up to a roundabout)
Engine management light also occasionally comes on due to the ECU being confused by the LPG system. I have been assured by the garage that this is okay and a common problem with LPG conversions. Also it is not a issue with the MOT as it runs on LPG so no emissions test is required and they don"t stick to the same regulations.
The LPG conversion is fantastic, the car starts on petrol and automatically swaps to LPG seamlessly. It has a 70 litre tank in the spare wheel holder and costs £45 to fill up. It will do 300 miles on a tank full. Effectively 40mpg if it were petrol and its a 4x4 V6 auto!
selling as it doesn"t get used any more as I no longer have need for a family car.
