Jeep GRAND Cherokee V8 4.7 litre engine 2001. Awesome off road tyres, Stainless exhaust giving one hell of a sound and a 4.7 litre engine that gives 220bhp. As it is American It is super fast in a straight line, just be careful round corners with such power. Sold as seen due to a couple of faults. Only 2 owners. Low mileage 72k. MOT till Dec 17th 2014 ### No reserve #### I have been totally honest in this description. Please do not be put off. This is a great car, perfect for towing (just add a tow bar) or just a winter buster. It has been totally reliable for me the past 10 years, but leaving it standing is causing it problems so it must go. It is totally driveable and tax’d and mot’d. Please don’t ask about fuel consumption. If you do, this is not the car for you. This is a V8 with 220bhp and with the stainless exhaust I have on it, it sounds fantastic. I have also put General Grabber AT2 tyres on it which look great and work a treat in the winter. Only selling as I just don’t use it anymore as I have 5 cars. It has been sitting most of the year and this has caused the recent problems. It needs to be used. Only two owners. I have had this since 2004 and 41,000 miles. Bought from Jeep dealer when under 3 years old. It now has 72,150 miles and I have all the paperwork to support this. Please note the ABS and brake prob. Also there is only one key (the black one). I am selling this as running condition BUT there are a few things the new owner will have to look into for the next MOT so please read carefully. Good points Low mileage at 72k. Dealer Service history till 47k. Lots of paperwork for all subsequent work. 4 virtually unworn General grabber AT2 off road tyres. Stainless steel back box. New Starter motor (2014) New water pump (2012) New rear brake caliper (2014) Battery (11/2012) Regular oil changes Belt, sparks and oil filter all changed within last 5 thousand miles. Standard GRAND Cherokee probs All the below are common faults these cars have. All but the heated seats has been fixed. Fixed: Dealer supplied Heater Blower wiring kit (as this melts without it) Not Fixed: Heated seats not working. I don’t use these. One might work but they are renowned for failing. Fixed: Door window winder. This went on the passenger front side and has been replaced. Again, look at youtube and this happens all the time to old mechanisms. Ignition key drum changed (these wear out. A replacement has been fitted and aligned to original key). Power steering hose leak: All replaced with dealer supplied replacement (2009) Not so good points ABS light on. After replacing the rear brake caliper the ABS light has come on. The brakes are a little spongy and I was going to get them bled. This might fix the ABS problem but I cannot guarantee. As said, the car is sitting and it is not helping. Car is safe to drive but ABS is in limp mode so not functioning. Brakes need a bleed (as said). Paint on the front bumper and on front wings is dull. The car must have had a small parking ding before I owned it and the bumper had been badly repaired so the paint flaked off over the years. There had also been some damage to the grill that had been badly glued together. I replaced all this including the grill and took the bumper off to paint. Unfortunately I am competent enough to make sure the paint covers correctly but I was not able to get the correct shine despite using correct spec paint and lacquer. To be honest, if you buy this car you aren’t after a shining example so I doubt this matters. From a distance you wont see it. Exterior Paint is good everywhere except the front bumper and wings where it is dull (see notes). Some chips as you might expect but only a handful. Chrome badges have lost some lacquer which happens to all Jeeps. Roof rails and cross bars. No tow bar. Has never been used for towing. Would make excellent tow car. Wheels Four 16 inch alloys. Lacquer not in great condition but functional. No dings or gouges. Four General Grabber AT2 tyres. Fantastic tread. Only done a few thousand with them. I cant say how good I think these are. Spare is brand new and different to those on the car. It is a 5 spoke 17 incher. (I sold the originals a few months back). Interior Grey leather all round. No rips or marks Single CD Infinity Gold player. Fully loaded: All the toys work except the heated seats. Cruise control, fog lights, remote radio etc Small tear in the headlining (when I moved a lawnmower the other day it ripped a one inch hole) Usual ebay rules.
