Please read the entire listing carefully before bidding. 2001 Reliant Robin SLX - NO RESERVE!!! Excellent and reliable three-wheeler!

This has been an amazing and fun 3 wheeler for me and my wife. She has been a reliable friend to me and my wife - even taking us safely to Austria!! This Robin does not overheat or lose water (nothing wrong with the head gasket!) and does not use a lot of oil, which is unusual in itself for these three-wheeled wonders. She drives beautifully (for a Reliant) and has never given me any grief whatsoever!
The tyres are good, lots of mileage left in them (although the spare is flat). There is a CD player installed. Other than that, this is a Reliant Robin and, therefore, does not have any mod cons - if you"re looking at this listing, I guess you already know that!
Currently the MOT is until July 2016, however I am sure she will fly through the MOT (she has hardly done any miles since the last) and so as long as the bidding reaches £1,200 I will take her in to have a brand new MOT put on before the winning bidder collects her - thus her MOT would be until June / July 2017. If the bidding does not reach £1,200, the Robin will be sold with her current MOT only (i.e. July 2016). The reserve on this auction is set very low (much below the sum at which I will MOT the car)!
Just over a year ago the temperature gauge stopped working, so I fitted a Tims mechanical temp gauge. These are more accurate, which gives some extra peace of mind, but as I say, this Robin has never overheated at all.
I have also fitted a modern electric ignition system in place of the old-style points and condenser inside the distributor - this gives far improved all round performance, making it easier to start on cold mornings (she fires up instantly with a bit of choke, even on the coldest of British winter days), better fuel consumption, and all round generally improved reliability. The electric ignition system also means you do not have to worry about replacing points and constantly adjusting the timing (as points wear etc). Having said this, if you are somewhat of a purist and wish to go back to points and a condenser, I believe you can pick these up for a few quid and could very quickly, easily and cheaply revert to the original setup.
The mileage is 43,622, although (depending on what the bidding reaches) this may increase because I will have to drive her to the MOT station.
I love this little Robin, but we now have a baby son and so I have had to (with a VERY heavy heart) get a proper car and so my say goodbye to my beloved Robin! :(
I will be sad to see her go but hopefully she will go to a good home and can give someone else as much enjoyment as she has given us.
Having said all of the above, I must stress that this is a Reliant Robin. They are not renowned for their build quality. She is also 15 or so years old and, thus, has all the standard age related marks you would expect to see (I have tried to picture the obvious ones, but can"t guarantee that I have spotted everything). Please do not bid and turn up expecting to see a brand new Ferrari - this is a 15 year old Reliant!
You can drive this three-wheeler on a full category A motorcycle license, no matter what date you passed your test - the law changed in January 2013 to mean that tricycles (which this is classified as) fall under the cat A bike license.

This is a private sale of my own vehicle and, as such, this Reliant Robin is sold as seen with absolutely no warranties given or implied - This Robin is listed by my business account only because I do not have another eBay account to use and I don"t want to create another one just for selling this vehicle. This is a 5 day auction and (as long as bidding reaches the necessary level) I will take the Robin in to get MOT"d next week - the winning bidder must pay a £100 deposit by PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending and must then collect the Robin by Wednesday 13th July 2016 and must pay cash on collection.
