Hi and welcome to the sale of my Subaru LEGACY.
TO BE CLEAR THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS SPARES OR REPAIRS DUE TO AN ENGINE FAULT.
The story so far,
Driving home from work a couple of weeks ago and the car stalled at some traffic lights and would not restart, only turning over slowly like a flat battery. The AA were called and he arrived with a battery pack and got it started but it sounded terrible. He immediately turned it off and said it very much sounded like the bottom end of the engine was gone (bearings etc). The car was recovered and a garage inspection confirmed the diagnosis.
Previous to this there was no warning such as oil pressure light, EML or overheating problems, it just stopped.
I have neither the facilities or the time to put the car right but think it could be a good project for somebody who has the time and space as the rest of the car is excellent and drove beautifully until now. As a breaker it"s easily worth more in parts than the asking price.
Good Bits.Long MOTLeather interior virtually unmarked with only slight wear to drivers seat.Wheels refurbished a year ago.Front Discs and pads replaced last year.Rear discs and pads replaced a couple of months agoRear tyres almost new, fronts approx. 5mm.All electrics in full working order.Recent service.Gearbox fluid changed about 18 months ago.New exhaust just over a year.
Bad bits.Engine as mentioned.Few dings and marks around the body but nothing major.Small chip to windscreen but not an MOT failure.
If I think of anything else I"ll add it but I need the car away as soon as possible. Space is limited and I"ve already replaced it with another car. Open to offers but sensible please. All silly offers will be ignored.Cash on collection preferred.
THE CAR WILL HAVE TO BE TOWED OR TRAILERED AWAY AS IT DOES NOT RUN.
