vehicle description:

Selling my 2002 Seat Toledo 1.9 TDi SE 110 with ASV engine. The Toledo is a tidy car used as a runabout for the last 18 months. It has 137k on clock. The car has been a cheap runabout but has been looked after.
The car is sold as spares and repairs as I am moving home soon and need the car gone as I don"t have the time or space to repair. The car should have plenty of life left in it for someone to run it about for longer.
Issues are:
1:Gearbox doesn"t engage reverse. Forward drive is absolutely fine but if you try and engage reverse it will still go forward so it needs a new gearbox, should be plenty in breakers.
2:The cambelt tensioner has just broken. Car runs and drives fine and I got it home but would not recommend driving until new cambelt and tensioner fitted.
3:Lastly some bits that are just minor fiddly bits: the boot light doesnt work and the fog lights have stopped working. Foglights are all on the same fuse, suspect an earth. I also don"t think the 12v socket in the front centre console works, and I can"t get FM radio, but i"ve always used a tape with Aux to play spotify so it"s never bothered me. You can get AM if you want talkSport or similar. The interior light doesn"t always come on with drivers door open, it"s common on the door electrics on these age VW/Seats to become brittle.
There is some service history, everything I have done on this car is documented, this includes the servicing and the brakes. It has had cambelt done previously and its been serviced twice since I"ve had it, using genuine parts first time and Bosch parts second time. I have a service book and receipts. Brakes all round have been done using Pagid discs and pads and it does stop well. The car sits on virtually unmarked 17 Leon FR wheels with 4 matching Continental Tyres, bodywork is clean and tidy but does have some small scratches as you"d expect with a 17yr old car. MOT expires in February 2020 and car costs £140 a year to tax. Boot is vast for this size of car and can surprise you what it will take. I have been regularly getting ~600 miles to a tank of fuel and its been driven on the motorway daily where it is comfortable and nippy without feeling too small. Speakers in the doors are good, I think they"re original but it sounds pretty decent for a 17yr old Seat. Air con was ice cold in the summer and its been nice and warm in the winter. It has auto climate control which all works, 4 electric windows which all work, alarm which works and according to the documentation it once had a tracker! Since i"ve had it i"ve put 15k on it. The time has come to move it on as I need to free up space, the car needs repairs which I no longer have time for and I am moving home. The car would be a great runabout or donor car for keeping other similar models going, such as the Leon, MK4 Golf, Bora, first gen A3 and Octavia.
No silly timewasters please. I will answer messages and happy to show you around the car. As said, I do not recommend driving until the tensioner has been fixed but this is totally up to the buyer how they take it away. I offer no warranty and am not a car dealer. The car is listed as spares / repair. Cash on collection, car is in LU5 in Bedfordshire.
V5 present, I have service book, document wallet and some service history in a ring binder. Car comes with 1 key.
