Description Yes, I know that you will be able to find Alfa Romeo 156 examples advertised with lower asking prices than this, but what I"m equally sure of is this; you will not find many others as good as this.
It has had just two owners in total (the latest having cherished it since 2005) and has, amazingly, covered only 47k miles from new. Backing this very low mileage up there is a fair chunk of service history, including records for every MoT it has ever been through, a completely clean HPI report, five stamps in the service book and a ream of receipts going back to its first service at the main dealer. Also of note is a receipt for a clutch replacement in 2010 plus, as soon as a sale is agreed, we will have the timing belt (including the water pump, variator and all ancillaries of course!) replaced for its new owner. It comes with an MoT through to 17th November, which it flew straight through without a single advisory, 3 months" comprehensive warranty and it drives very well indeed with no mechanical issues whatsoever.
And as if that wasn"t enough to set this apart from the majority of other 156s, this one also includes the very rare tear-drop style 17 alloy wheels. Not available as standard on any model, these were available only as a (very expensive!) optional extra from the accessories catalogue. Even today, the cheapest I can find them available is £600 without tyres from Veloces. I"ve genuinely never seen any other Alfa Romeo fitted with these wheels and, beyond the rarity value, they also look superb. As does the rest of this car, to be fair. The Grigio Sterling paintwork boasts a great shine, the interior with the sumptuous Momo black leather upholstery is largely untouched and even the engine bay is clean enough to eat your dinner off!
I know rare opportunity might be an overused term when advertising a car but, honestly, if you miss out on this 156 are you ever likely to see another one come up for sale with the same low mileage, rare additions and in similarly excellent condition? In several years of specialising in Alfas, as well as going to shows and owner"s club meets, I"ve certainly never seen another one the same as this!
