For sale is my beloved 2002 (facelift) Alfa Romeo 156 in Grigio Sterling metallic with black leather interior featuring a traditional Alfa 1747cc TWIN SPARK 4 cylinder engine and a manual gearbox.
She has 107,000 miles and still feels very lively. Owned by an Alfa enthusiast. Thousands spent over the last few years to make her one of the best 156s around and a good investment to what’s now is becoming an accepted classic.
Serviced with Alfaworkshop, with a major service last year and recent work includes:
-          Brand new quality radiator and thermostat unit
-          New set of NGK spark plugs and coil pack replaced 
-          Variator has been re-built for the engine to run silky smooth (big job)
-          Cam belt, pulleys and water pump
-          Brand new Valeo clutch together with the slave/servo fitted in 2015! 
-          Rocker cover gasket
-          New Varta battery
-          The floorpan has been cleaned to the metal and tetrasealed so would not rust! (One of the weak spots on 156s)
-          Suspension has been looked after well, replacing: rear radius arms, rear long bolts, upper wishbone n/s/f. No worries here – very solid.
-          Small bits such as bulbs, switch, electric window motor etc. – everything works! AC also works and blows cold.
-          Regular oil & filter changes using only quality OEM recommended Selenia oil and all fluids at a good level.
The car completed 4500 miles trip to Scandinavia all the way up to Harstad last month without any problem. Thorough inspection and service (oil & filter) on arrival back to the UK so the next service is due in July 2016! The car is surprisingly very economic to run for the date of manufacture due to its ahead of time technology. I actually averaged 40 mpg on the way London - Malmo (Sweden) which is considered as excellent fuel mileage for a petrol car even by today"s standards.

For only 250£ on top of the selling price you have the possibility (but not an obligation) to also get 4 x 17’’ genuine Alfa Romeo GTA alloys (pictured) with Dunlop Sport Maxx fronts (fitted June 2015 and used for 1 week only) and Runway rear tyres with plenty of tread. These wheels really set the car apart and useful if you want a bigger brakes upgrade in the future. This is less than what it cost me for the tyres alone!  
I’m selling the car due to acquisition of a classic and now this car is rarely used. The car can be viewed at E1 in London with easy access by public transport.
Viewing is very welcome and encouraged for you to appreciate what an Italian beauty you"re getting and I can show you the paperwork, service history and the optional wheels that are stored inside. Please expect to see a scratch and a ding as the car is not in the showroom but in general, bodywork is very good for age. The car is very sensibly valued for the work and care that has gone into it and at the end of the day it"s important that she finds a good home and a caring owner (preferably a car enthusiast).
