2002/3 Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 16v Twin Spark Veloce Selespeed
 
Approx 88k miles
Full Black Leather in excellent condition all round
Alfa Romeo 17 Teledial Style Alloy wheels in all round very good condition with good tyres approx 6mm per tyre
Silver Metallic Paint
All round windows tinted professionally in a dark smoke style
Brand new radiator (Replaced last weekend)
Performance Exhaust
Smoked front headlights
Purchased the car a few weekends ago as I needed a stop gap between cars, I knew the car had a few niggles but after further investigation, and my limited knowledge of Alfa Romeo electrics i"ve decided to sell her on
Mechanically the car is A1... the engine is fantastic with no smoke whatsoever and pulls extremely well all the way to the redline
Gearbox was rebuilt previous to my owning of the car (so the previous owner assures me)
Cambelt, water pump and idler pulleys were replaced approx 5k miles ago, no proof of this but whilst I was changing the radiator, I had a look at the belt and it looked like new
Problems are as follows
Front window"s dont work, ive checked power to loom and shows nothing at regulator, power is showing at switch but no movement of regulator, wired regulators to 12v battery supply and they work fine, so i assume there is a fault somewhere with the loom
Central locking doesn"t work off the key
Rev Counter is intermittent, sometimes it works, sometimes nothing. Also the same for the gearbox gear indication display, sometimes it works, again sometimes not
O/S/R window doesn"t work, possible seized regulator as power is running to switch and to regulator
I replaced the comfort module thinking that all of the above could be linked, but unfortunately after changing it today, it made no difference
Also there is a knock from the front suspension, I had a quick look but couldnt find the source of the problem
If I had the expertise or knowledge of the alfa wiring then I"d give it a go, but with time constraints (working 6 days) I just dont have the time to invest in the car
Car is just outside Bridgend in South Wales (10 mins from J34)
I"d consider breaking the car, but anything large along the lines of engine I"d have to leave in the shell, also I couldnt guarantee when id be available to strip
