This car has served our family well for the last couple of years. All the rear seats can be individually removed from the car completely which has allowed us to move some very large items over the time that we have owned the car.
If you want van-like carrying capacity in a car then look no further than the Xsara Picasso as it really is huge inside!
We are only selling as we recently reviewed the family car needs and split our combined requirements between 2 cars. It has a little over 94,000 miles on the clock so it is low mileage for its age and has had annual services in our ownership. There is paperwork included to support the service history of the car including the timing belt / water pump being changed.
These cars are full of loads of storage places under floor, in the walls of the boot and under the front seats so it has proved great as a family car for us.
The car is MOT"d until November and the annual road tax is £145 but it is currently registered as SORN so don"t know if the new owner will be paying the same.
It was a cheap car for us to insure and run as around the doors on short trips it would generally return 40+ mpg and that would improve on long runs down the country.
Being the Exclusive trim level it comes with climate control, air conditioning, a full length sunroof with roll-back sunblinds, armrest on the driver"s seat and a CD player compatible with a multichanger.There is central locking, electric windows, electric wing mirrors (that fold in when parked up) and all these work as intended.There are steering wheel mounted controls for the radio/CD player.
The Picasso is fitted with alloy wheels and all 4 tyres have been changed since November 2015.
The battery was changed in December of last year.
As you can see in the included photographs the car"s condition is good for its age and we have not abused the car in our ownership. Given its age, there are marks on the car both inside and out but they are not horrendous. There is a scuff to the offside front but the bumper has not been cracked so if you wanted to tidy it up it shouldn"t be too tricky.
It has 2 previous owners who were father and daughter and we have the old V5"s as proof.
As can be seen in the photographs the Picasso comes with a tow bar fitted but we have never towed anything with it. The heaviest item it has had attached is our bike carrier.
There is a full size spare wheel fitted to the car and the locking wheel nuts have been removed, after the wheel nut key breaking during a wheel change. The carrier cage for the spare wheel is known to rust and seize on these cars but we have removed and replaced with a new bolt and carrier so it will be problem-free for you.
