Thanks to a time waster on the last auction, this car is now available again, but on a 3 day auction! Hopefully this will help all of you who aren"t time wasters!
Well the time has come for me to part with my DC5 as I wish to fund other projects.
 
I bought this car back September time last year with a blown engine (I"ve no idea how they managed that!). The engine was far beyond repair and I couldn"t bare to break one of these beautiful motors, especially a black one as they"re very rare, so I went about sourcing another engine. I was lucky enough to find a 52,000 mile engine from a written off DC5. The car had a full service history and the engine itself was very clean so I bought it to revive this DC5.
 
As I had the engine out I felt it was a good opportunity to carry out some more intrusive work. I bought and fitted a Spoon 5.3 final drive, Tegiwa long 6th gear and a genuine Honda clutch. It was all then refitted with fresh oils, Honda MTF and Castrol Edge 0w/30w as supplied by Steels Honda in Hereford. A full compliment of Iridium plugs and and new drive belt and everything was back as it should. For some reason the car had no lambda sensor fitted as it was taken off when the manifold was installed. This didn"t seem right to me at all and it may of even caused the engine failure. For this reason I bought a new Denso unit from the states and took the car to TDI North to have a KPro fitted and mapped. This was all so I was happy that everything was as it should be.
 
The original plan was to keep this car on the road and sell the white DC5 which I had at the time. This was to be my new daily and the extra performance parts were to spice it all up a little. The long 6th was to try and maintain mpg and cruise rpm which it did nicely. The car drove lovely, was nice and lively, returned a good mpg and all in all was really easy to live with for the daily 40 mile commute. I had the car on the road for a little over a month when I come across a Mazda RX7 twin turbo which quite simply, I fell in love with. I"d always wanted an FD rex so when it came up for sale, the decision was made. Since that point, the DC5 has been in dry storage so it"s missed all the crappy weather over the winter. Now though, it"s back out in the sunshine and I think it"s about time someone got to enjoy her again.

Unfortunately there are a few age related bad points:
there is a small dent in the drivers door (see picture).the drivers seat has a worn side bolster, although it"s still firm (see picture). There"s also a small hole in the bottom of the drivers seat, and one on the rear seats. Hardly noticeable though.the rear bumper has been melted by the exhaust when it"s been incorrectly hung (see picture).The paintwork isn"t bad at all, but there is a few small scuffs about the place - as to be expected for a 13 year old car really.There is a small crack in the windscreen on the bottom right (drivers side) corner. The crack comes on and goes off the screen, so there is no danger of it getting longer. (see picture)
The car has MOT until June 2016. Obviously with the new tax rules there is no tax on the car with the sale.
 
Included with the sale of the car are a few original parts. I have a complete set of standard springs/shocks if you wish to put the car back to standard ride height. Also included is the standard exhaust manifold/downpipe/cat - there is one broken bolt on this though. The standard Honda Final Drive and original clutch are also included.
The car is located near Hay-on-Wye, viewing is welcome but test drives need proof of insurance. Viewing recommended!
