vehicle description:

This car doesn"t currently start first time and can cut out when driving - due to the the car requiring the 5 injectors to be replaced- estimated cost £350 -£550 which dont wish to pay for.
you will need a trailer to collect this vehicle.
this injectors not starting/cutting out is a recent issue which I thought was the glow plugs (which I paid to replace) or fuel pump (which i replaced)
Once theyre replaced it it should run Ok- it already has a high milage 205K. i use the car infrequently that I can"t justify spending more on it. i can live without a car when i have to spend to repair it rather than i do using it.
but if you are buying it for spares you will benefit from new and reconditioned parts still under warranty:- battery is platinum £100 new fitted january 2017- high pressure fuel pump fitted 2 days ago 2017 is £222 new and is still under 1 yr unlimited mileage warranty from PF Jones LTD 0161 872 4755) Fitted by BC Searle Garage Godmanchester - vehicle is under MOT till October this year 2017-tires are in leagal limit no advisories-YOU WILL NEED to Get this vehicle on a trailer to take it as it may not start and may cut out on you again on your trip

-gearbox replaced-all paperwork-good to drive when it starts and works-good mercedes engine-comes with 5 litres transmission oil, 4/5 litres of diesel in diesel container1/4 tank fullthe photo of the engine shows the old Bosch battery in bluenot the new one and the engine looks cleaner than this as it was jet washedlights work and has white leds on rear number plate
NOT SO GOOD:
the injectors need replacing and It will cost me £350 plus mechanics fee to change the 5 injectors

the injectors are causing the vehicle not to start (having been in the garage at BC searle a reputable garage in Godmanchester Huntingdon) - i have managed to drive it home this afternoon and it started fine 3 times when I switched it on and off. The battery will be fully charged on sale. I don"t want the unpredictability of this vehicle or additional cost to fix the injectors an additional £350 (£69 each) for the existing injectors to be reconditioned and the labour cost on top.
The existing 5 injectors can be removed at your cost and sent to be reconditioned to Premier Diesel After making purchase ebay listing "Mercedes C 220 CDI/Sport coupe Reconditioned Bosch Diesel Injector - 0445110199" ebay item: 262763768796 -you will need to send your Injector to be repaired directly at your own cost (they recommend using an insured method of delivery) to: Premier Diesel, 2b Trevanth Road.Troon Industrial Park. Leicester, Leicestershire. LE4 9LS Once your injector has been repaired they will send this back to you at their expense.
I have spent as much as I am going to on the vehicle and don"t wish to spend an additional £350 plus mechanics fee to change them so I am selling the vehicle.
I expect ebay sellers to be honest and selling a used vehicle and hiding the faults from me has cost me, and so I"m listing the problems so you don"t have to have the same surprise I did.
-bought used vehicle from "berkshire Jeeps" listed on ebay and currently still listing Jeeps on there- ( i believed were a dealer who would sell a vehicle in a reasonable condition- but was mistaken) 15/ 11/2015 they present them self as a dealer -berkshire Jeeps" is a trading name of "Jeeps direct Limited" company number 07819222 which dissolved 26/07/2016 (last year) and the purchase is with a person called Jason Warwick who trades from his house in Winneresh who I paid an additional £250 to replace the front breaks at time of purchase - but these front breaks and calliper failed in May 2016 within 6 months of purchase and had to be replaced by Ians Tyres 21st May 2016 for an additional £378. I doubt Jason warwick replaced them originally. When I bought the vehicle I asked warwick if there was anything wrong with the vehicle that I should know about he didnt tell me anything.
The "free MOT" promised by Warwick in his original (and current listings under "berkshire-Jeeps") and at the time of paying for the car hasn"t been covered. The MOT passed in 24th October 2016 after at my expense Ian Tyres charged an additional £252 to fix the problems of the jammed rear passenger door (there at time of purchase) and oil leaks to make the MOT. The vehicle rear passenger door didn"t open when I bought the vehicle which I was not aware this was an MOT failure until BC searle garage in Godmanchester informed me after they did a check over the vehicle in January 2016 and I have a print out of the issues on the vehicle they found. The car has a current MOT till October 23rd 2017.
(other issues mentioned by B C Searle in January 2016 check over after purchase which in main have been addressed :including N/S rear tyre close to legal limit - this has been replaced, slight oil leak from n/s rear diff -which Ian"s tyres has fixed in October 2016, alternator belt contaminated and weakened with oil, oil leak- this steering fluid leaks has had stop leak added, oil leak down o/s of gearbox - the gear box has been replaced by united motors, intercooler pipe contaminated with oil.)The Aircon didn"t work on purchase and the electric windows only opened if you hold the rear passenger side button down whilst operating the window switch. There was a recal on the vehicle from feb 2015 which Warwick didn"t tell me about which I have now had carried out.
There was a leak to the transmission oil which has been fixed with a new dip stick.windscreen chipsheaters on hotno air con rear window heater element needs sticking back on windowcasing for gear stick needs to be screwed a bit more inheated front driver seat not working (passenger seat heater works very well)the cd player isn"t playing cds but radio works, the screen doesn]t pop up or stay up.cruise control workshas a dent to rear bumper which was there before I bought vehicle ( i replaced the rear light)some wear/ tearing to driver side seat on entrance sidesome light scratches to body work.wing mirror casing damaged on edges and mirror held in with tape on driver side (as when I bought it)only one mat for driver
