Finally having to sell my beloved MG as I have had to spend a considerable amount of money on my main family car and can no longer warrant the expense of keeping the MG.Drives great (any test drive is more than welcome) and naturally great fun in the summer however I used it a lot over the last winter without any problems and it"s very nice and warm!It is registered as "black" however I would say it is more of a VERY dark blue in colour.
For those who have never driven one of these before, I was very surprised about how economical they are. It only costs £15 to get from where I am (Oakham, Rutland) to the English/Welsh boarder (130 miles).It is a 1.8 engine and the previous owner has told me that it has had the modified head gasket done. I have no proof of this however I can confirm that with all the time I have driven it has never lost water or showed any signs of over heating in any way. I have owned in the past 3 Freelanders which have the same engine where the head gaskets have gone on them and I have not had any of the usual symptoms that you would normally get so I personally am convinced it has been done.
There are a couple of age related scratches/dings but hopefully by the photos you can see they are nothing major and do not detract from the looks if the car.
I have paperwork for the following :x2 previous MOT certificatesReceipt for : Head set and bolts, Oil, Oil System Cleaner. Total : £80Receipt for : Health Check, Replaced Aux Belt, Replacement inlet manifold gasket, replacement bulb. Total : £582.26Vehicle Identity Check Pass Certificate
There are however a couple of things to consider :It has been registered as a CAT C in the past. I don"t know what damage to the car was done but the previous owner told me it was damaged back end. It has clearly been repaired to a high quality as I cant see any evidence of this but obviously I need to let you know.I split the rear window! DOH! I was putting my bag on the rear parcel shelf and the zip caught the window and split it.It was MOT"d a couple of weeks ago and failed as it needs new rear brakes (pads and discs) but that was all it failed on. I have the certificate for this.
With it failing the MOT I obviously have to sell the car as spares or repair but it is only the brakes that need doing to put it back on the road. Any inspection is more than welcome and encourage prior to buying.
I am the legal owner of the car and have the V5 document.
