Hi, and thanks for looking.
Firstly I must say whoever buys this car is getting one of the best around, I"ve driven MG/Rover"s for 17 years on and off and know them like the back of my hand, this ticks all my boxes and drives without fault.
MOT - 25th February 2017
NO ADVISORIES, and its covered 200 miles since then, so practically a fresh MOT, with a new head gasket, head skim, oil and filter change, coolant/antifreeze and cam belt kit all done under 500 miles ago.
I bought this off a local MOT station/car dealer who I"ve known for 15 years, it was bought as a possible replacement to our Xtrail which is now fixed after what we thought was a major problem turned out to be nice and simple, the Xtrail realistically suits my Mrs needs more so the MG after its short but happy life with us is looking for a new happy home!
Yes, we all know the K-Series engine fault, this car is good to go for years to come, it had all the work done when the mechanic I know bought it with the head on its way out, he prepped it ready for re-sale and MOT"d it ready for a customer, after being messed around he knew the potential customer wasn"t buying it so it sat in his yard, until I asked about it!
I don"t expect to get back what I paid for it, but I won"t accept daft offers, I know what this car is worth.
Usual niggles are not there! Windows working properly, heater works on all settings, central locking works, no tappy engine, head gasket done, no rusty arches or front wings, this car is a real good "un! I kind of wish the Xtrail was knackered ;)
There"s early history and obviously all the work its just had done, and with only 80k miles its only done the mileage of a 6-8 year old car!
Bodywork as you can see is lovely, odd bumper mark but no rust or dents, overall stunning for its age
Interior has the usual wear on the drivers bolster as these all do, its a design flaw, the rest of the interior is clean with no obvious marks
It"s ready to drive away, tax and insure and off you go with no doubts about it
