I run a service & repair garage specialising in Volvos and I am selling this MG on behalf of a customer who could not justify the repair costs as they were planning on selling the vehicle anyway due to the arrival of a baby.
The car still runs, it even has a new set of plug leads - the old ones broke when we removed them to check THE spark plugs for an engine miss-fire - number 4 cylinder has water in the cylinder - we have not stripped down the engine any further - would recommend cylinder head removal and pressure testing.
The MG is in general all round good condition for the year - there are a few minor dents, scuffs & scratches on the body work and the o/s/f seat bolster is holed as shown in the photographs. I can not see any damage to the soft top although it would benefit from a good clean and weatherproofing.
The M.O.T. expires ON 5th July this year and the only advisories were corrosion to the subframes. There is some service history and a hand full of old invoices and M.O.T. certificates.
The MG had a personal number plate on it which has now been removed and it will resort back to an 02 plate - I have new plates to be fitted prior to collection. There are 2 keys and 2 remote locking fobs.
I have started the bidding at what I have been offered for salvage. There is no reserve, so highest bidder wins.
