The van is now here and will doubtless fly through it"s MOT next week. It will then be 2 weeks to register with DVLA so it will be ready for collection in mid May!

Here we have a rare 2002 Nissan Elgrand Rider 4x4 that"s just landed at Port of Tyne this week. This isn"t your usual eBay rubbish that"s been clocked or that"s been in an accident in Japan and hasn"t been repaired properly! It"s done a genuine 65K which means it"s just run in for the ever reliable 3500cc V6 engine which you also find in Nissan"s 350Z sports car. The Rider is the sportier version of this MPV and with full leather and double sunroofs this van has an enviable list of optional extras including keyless entry and ignition, 4x4 a rear monitor for watching TV and DVDs as well as premium Bose sound system. These vans are used by celebrities in Japan offering unparalleled luxury, feeling more AMG or Lincoln Navigator with a list of standard options VW could only dream about! A proper van (which is this) will set you back £7999-8,999 off a reputable forecourt with similar miles.
A similar Vito or T5 would be largely rust and have more like 150-200K on the clock. There are a couple of reasonably-priced DIY conversion kits for these vans so you can have a go yourself or have it done professionally depending what you want it for. Many people just convert them to LPG and use them every day for the school run or at the weekends as family day van for adventures. Even unconverted you"ll still get 25-28mpg on a run! I got about 350 miles to a tank driving to Devon in the white 04 Rider S I also have advertised on here.
This is my 2nd Elgrand E51 which should speak volumes to anyone considering one of these vans. They really make all but the highest spec vitos and transporters look naff!
The only reason I"m selling this one is I"ve actually bought another one with slightly lower miles on it so this one has become surplus to requirements.
I know how hard to find a decent one with this spec is so no silly offers and if you"re serious about buying it please come and see it first!
